WEIGHT CLASS DETAILS:

  • Individual competitors complete all 6 events on their own.
  • DOUBLES: EACH PARTNER DOES ALL 6 EVENTS, TOTAL COMBINED SCORE WINS (M/M, M/F, F/F)
  • TEAMS OF 3: EACH PARTNER DOES 1 OF THE 3 EVENTS (MUST DO BOTH 1RM + REP TESTS)
  • Doubles & Teams weight classes are determined by average body weight of all competitors
  • Your scores will be ranked only against other competitors within your weight class
  • You may choose to compete in a weight class higher than your bodyweight, but not lower

 

COMPETITION FLOW:

Each athlete will move through three zones:
– Squat Zone
– Bench Press Zone
– Deadlift Zone

At each station, athletes complete:
– One Rep Max Attempts: Athletes have 10 minutes to declare and attempt up to 3 official 1RMs. They may lift as many times as they’d like during the 10 minutes, but only the 3 declared attempts (called out to their judge) will count.
– Rep Test: After heavy attempts, athletes have 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible at a prescribed weight based on weight class.

Competition Timing | One Master Clock:
0-10 Minutes: Athletes perform up to 3 official Squat 1RM attempts.
10-12 Minutes: Reset bar to rep test weight
12-13 Minutes: Squat Rep Test
13-15 Minutes: Transition to Bench Press Zone
15-25 Minutes: Bench Press 1RM attempts
25-27 Minutes: Reset bar to rep test weight
27-28 Minutes: Bench Press Rep Test
28-30 Minutes: Transition to Deadlift Zone
30-40 Minutes: Deadlift 1RM attempts
40-42 Minutes: Reset bar to rep test weight
42-43 Minutes: Deadlift Rep Test
43-45 Minutes: Turn in score sheet to judges

Athlete Responsibilities:
– You will be required to add plates to your own barbell for every event. The judge can assist with bar math, but the weight on the bar is ultimately your responsibility.
– You must strip the barbell after each Rep Test and leave it empty for the next competitor.
– You will carry your scoresheet with you zone to zone and hand scoresheet to your judge at each zone to record your scores
– After your final Deadlift rep test, you must hand in your scoresheet to the scoring table

Heat Format:
– Heats of 5 athletes at a time will take the competition floor. Each athlete will be assigned one lane, you will remain in your lane for the duration of your event.
– Once Heat 1 moves on to the Bench Press Zone, Heat 2 will start on the squats
– Once Heat 3 begins, 15 athletes will be competing at a time following one master clock, keeping the arena constantly active
